04 Sep 2009 | EIG buys Oklahoma oil field
Today EIG’s wholly owned subsidiary EIG Petroleum closed on the East Cushing Red Fork Sand Unit in Creek County, Oklahoma, USA. Since first drilled in 1951, the field has produced 360,000 barrels of light, sweet crude oil from 15 oil and 1 water injection well. It has estimated, producible reserves of 600,000 barrels remaining. In addition to traditional approaches, EIG Petroleum looks to apply its Ionizer technology to re-develop this field.
