11 Nov 2009 | EIG form JV with Midwest Holdings Limited
In November 2009 Energy Invest Group and Midwest Holdings Limited intiated a Joint Venture called Energy Invest (Asia) Limited – registered in Labuan, Malaysia - to market EIG technologies in Asia.
Midwest Holdings is a respected mining company based in India with primary interest in granite and other natural stone. The company has grown into an integrated natural stone company with a strong operational presence in exploration, research & development, mining, processing, export, import and distribution. The founder Mr Raghav Reddy has since taken a back seat in the day to day running of the company and turned his attention to the significant opportunity of introducing innovative energy technologies into India and the rest of Asia.
Based on India’s vast coal reserves and limited native crude oil supply the first project is focused on developing a coal to liquid (CTL) plant. In preparation for this the team recently visited EIG’s technology partner in California to initiate talks and finalise a proposal to build a 22 ton/day unit.

The team is also currently conducting a feasibility study of suitable river locations in India for the Indigo Pearl marine turbine and we hope to begin financing such a project midway through 2010.
This is the beginning of what we all hope will be a fruitful venture for both companies and bring increased energy security to India.
